Not only did the Love Your Weekend team and guests love the Rev's back story but they thought Olly's simple serve of our Summer Cup with ice, lemonade, sliced fresh strawberries and a shard of rhubarb, was delicious.Ā
Originally made with fruit from the vicarage garden by the Reverend Hubert Lester himself, our Summer Cup is bursting with delicious fruit flavours: rhubarb, plums, pomegranate and cranberries. Based on the Reverend's own original recipe from 1904 and updated by his great-grandson Thomas.
The Reverend Hubert Summer Cup is perfect mixed with tonic, soda water or lemonade. Add plenty of ice to a glass, pour in a generous measure of the Summer Cup, add your favourite mixer and stir with a rhubarb stick. Then find a sunny spot in the garden and enjoy. A perfect drink for a summer's day in less time than it takes to make a cup of tea. Or try it in one of our delicious cocktails - a Cotswold Spritz, a Summer Sour or, if you really want to impress your guests, a Garden Party Frozen Cocktail.
